Case Studies
Our work with clients takes many forms and reflects an integrated approach to public strategy in communication. The case studies here represent a small sampling of our work, organized by issue, rather than narrowly defined in terms of specific communication deliverables.

Challenge: Take the concept of community policing and translate into an organizational infrastructure seated in every community in Chicago.

Challenge: To create awareness of the Department of Housing (now Department of Community Development) as an entity that serves a broad spectrum of Chicagoans and their need for rental and homeownership opportunities and help.

Challenge: To create a program that would provide recognition of the Historic Chicago Bungalow and in doing so encourage citizen purchase and rehab of bungalows in Chicago’s Historic Bungalow neighborhoods.

Challenge: To re-energize Chicago’s recycling program and increase involvement among all neighborhoods and sectors of the city.

Challenge: To create awareness to ensure a diverse and broad applicant pool for the Wait List Lottery through which those seeking housing assistance in the private market could find help through the Federal HCV program.

Challenge: A continuing aspect of our work for more than twenty years, we have been perhaps the nation’s leading firm in creating awareness of the field of community development and in helping to create the tools that allow it to flourish – most notably the creation of and winning of permanent status for the Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit and similar sister programs.

Challenge: Within the context of a weak housing market, find a way to sell homes in which the City of Chicago has an investment.
