The University of Chicago

Who are they?
The University of Chicago hosted a Future of the City Symposium to spur continued discussion about urban life, with a particular focus on Chicago’s future as a global city.  A primary goal for the symposium was to draw in other voices, including leaders in the non-profit and business sectors, to engage with the University and community with the aim of helping citizens in all areas to think about the city’s future.

What we did for them
MKC developed the substance and structure for a single, day-long event. Activities include gathering insight and information from a mix of stakeholders involved in and affected by Chicago’s globalization; organizing and facilitating the work of a symposium steering committee representative of diverse perspectives; developing the framework, program agenda and session descriptions; and identifying, recruiting and preparing speakers, moderators, presenters and discussants.
